From sunrise to after sunset, every camp day is packed with fun. Campers will swim in the junior Olympic pool and enjoy sports in the water such as polo, basketball and volleyball as well as experience the waterslide, waterfall and white sand beach.
They shoot archery, make crafts, eat s'mores around the campfire, and play games on the game field. They explore a huge maze, ride the cable car and crazy swing and are challenged by various rope and climbing activities. And there is a one-of-a-kind Bible Time with skits and drama. Counselors bring activities back to Scripture and the campers are given ways in which the Scripture is applicable to their own lives.
Campers in grades 1-4 get to pan for gems, go fishing, hike the nature trail and participate in the biggest water-balloon fight of their lives! 5th-7th grade campers will canoe, shoot archery, do the log jam and go through the High Elements Course. Jr. High campers participate in the Genesis Game, Storm the Beach, Marathon, a square dance, the High Ropes course and the Tower. |

Marannook counselors are trained in working with children, camp skills and first-aid. They are taught how to be more effective in the study of Scripture and given over 100 hours to study. Counselors learn how to use camp activities to share the truths they have discovered from God's Word.
When the campers arrive, the counselors are ready to build relationships and to share the love of Christ through these relationships. Each camper remains with the same counselor throughout the week and is assigned to a group of between four and six children for grades 1-6, and between four and seven for grades 7-9.
During the school year each counselor sends their campers a monthly letter of encouragement, along with a Bible study.

"I absolutely love Marannook and wouldn't miss it for anything! It encourages me in my relationship with Christ and at the same time lets me have tons of fun!"
"Camp Marannook is a very special place to me. As we hike through the woods with our teams, the trees seem to sing along with us. At Bible time we learn millions of Bible verses with the most awesome Bible teacher! Then, as we sit around the campfire, it seems to wrap its arms around us in a great big, warm, hug. I love all of Camp Marannook, but the best part is the counselors. They love you like a friend never could."
"The pool is so pretty! This I my first year in Junior High camp and I really enjoyed the Genesis Game, Storm the Beach, and the Square Dance. My favorite activities were the Maze, the Tower, Ultimate Foosbee, and High Ropes. Bible Time is a ton of fun and I learned a lot too."
"The two years I've come to Marannook, I've grown closer to God and His Word. It's so cool to go to a camp where everything is based on God. The activities, Bible Time, Manna Club, everything is based on our Lord and Savior."
"It was so fun! I appreciate Jesus being in everything we did. When we woke up, after we ate, and before we went to bed we studied God's Word. This camp has strengthened my Christian life." |
